Dublin ComicCon: 10th – 11th August, The Convention Centre, Dublin

Dublin Comic Con is Ireland’s largest pop-culture and fandom event with Hollywood guests, photo ops, gaming, comics and more! On in the Convention Centre along Dublin’s quays, the event is bound to bring some colourful characters to the City Centre. Connemara Pony Festival: 13th – 16th August, Connemara, Co. Galway

Starting with a Connemara bus tour in Clifden on Thursday 13th around local stud farms, this festival is jampacked with competitions, a dog show, Irish dancing and much more. The Big Grill: 15th – 18th August, Herbert Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4

The Big Grill is Europe’s largest BBQ festival, returning for its 6th year to the Herbert Park in Ballsbridge. The festival celebrates the art of cooking with fire & smoke bringing chefs cooks and pitmasters from Ireland, UK and further along with over 20,000 visitors to smell, taste, discover and learn about all kinds of barbecuing, grilling, smoking, vegetables, meats, delicacies and drinks. The Rose of Tralee: 23rd – 27th August, Tralee, Co. Kerry

Ireland’s very own lovely ladies competition takes place down in the Kingdom once a year. A fun-filled few days, there are tonnes of activities for everyone to enjoy with the ‘Rose’ crowned after a talent contest on Tuesday 27th August.
