So, you’ve booked your holiday with Ireland At Home
You should have received details about how to get to your destination and how to get your keys. Make sure you contact the Caretaker/Duty Manager where necessary so that the check-in process runs smoothly. If the key holder does not know what time to expect you it is likely they will not be there to welcome you.
Generally there is an additional fee payable locally for the cost of utilities (electricity, gas or oil). Check this information before you travel so that you are aware of what is required. You will also be asked for a security deposit at most properties. Again, make sure you familiarise yourself with the information before you leave home.
If you need a cot or highchair they will need to be pre-ordered. Some properties charge for these items but most don’t.
Bedding and bed linen is provided at all locations. Some will provide towels and some will not. Make sure you know the applicable policy at the property you are renting. Cot linen is not provided so where you have ordered a cot you will need to bring bedding and cot linen for the cot.
Pets are welcome at some properties – make sure you have checked that your selected property is pet friendly. There is likely to be an additional cleaning fee (payable locally) for the additional cleaning required. Don’t be offended if some properties don’t accept pets. Most times it is to protect future guests with allergies and not a personal slight on your beloved pet! Please clean up after your pet and don’t leave it to others to do so.
